In Skifterhuset there are three rooms, Vika´s room en suite, on the ground floor and Egon´room and Dorte’s room on the first floor. Three rooms, two rooms can be rented together or Vika’s room on its own.
Vika´s room has a large comfortable double bed with two single, good quality mattresses. There is ample room for a mattress on the floor for children or a child’s cot.
Egon´s room has also a large comfortable double bed with two single, good quality mattresses. There is also a smaller bed/couch.
Dorte’s room has 1½ person Aupin bed and a couch that converts to a 1½ person bed.
The apartment at Skifterhuset can sleep eight people in total with ample room for one or two mattresses on the floor.
The newly built apartment is of extremely high quality, with great attention to detail and design. Designed and built to enjoy the wonderful unspoilt panoramic views of Blans Inlet, Skifternes forest and the fields and woodlands around the house. The apartment has a private entrance and hall, fully equipped kitchen and private terrace.
The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare gourmet meals, including crystal wine glasses and cork screw! Also includes fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, kettle, coffee machine and a barbeque for grilling on the terrace.
The ground floor room with bathroom en suite has access to own private terrace.
The first floor room has a fantastic panoramic view of the harbour, forest, Blans Inlet and the islands. There is no television, DVD or video, but free WiFi. Just peace and tranquilty.
No smoking on and off the premises and no pets.

Price per night 3 rooms, the entire house with separate bath, separate kitchen and personal entrance : 1000 DKK/134 Euro/night. Single nights 1100 DKK. / 148 Euro/night.
If you wish to rent 1 or 2 rooms with separate bathroom and separate kitchen and personal entrance it is possible with a surcharge of 300 DKK / 40 Euro.

Vika and Egon:
The present owner bought Skifterhuset in 2004 returning to her roots in Blans. At that time the house was in neglect. Renovation of the house started in 2005.The apartment and barn were built later.
The names of the rooms derive from two special people connected to the house.
Egon built Skifterhuset. He was a local farmer and neighbour , known to the present owner when she was a child , living with her parents on a small farm in Blans some 200 meters from Skifterhuset. The cow boards displayed in the corner in Egons room were used on her parents farm.
Vika was a previous owner of Skifterhuset. The present owner used to play in the gardens and drink tea with Vika when she was a little girl. Some of the furniture in the house belonged to Vika.
